FireCAD softwares are developed to help design Engineers with quick and accurate designs. A few customers may also want to see what's behind the software and may want to customize the software to suit their design practices. They may also want to add new features to the software. Keeping this in view, we would like to offer source code of all FireCAD softwares to our customers.

• What is Source code?
  
  Source code is the actual program written in a programming language like C#, C++, Java.. etc from where the final executable software are generated upon compilation. FireCAD softwares are developed using C# (pronounced as C-Sharp) which is a part of the Microsoft's latest Dotnet Technologies. C# is simple and more powerful than any other computer languages currently available. At the same time it is very easy to learn. C# is fast becoming a favorite language of the Engineering community.

• What does FireCAD sourcecode contains?
  
  FireCAD source code contains all calculations and programming logics required to design the Boiler products. The software is divided into different classes for easy maintenance called as OOPS (Object Oriented programming). Some of the classes are as follows: * Combustion.dll - For Combustion calculations * HeatTransfer.dll - For HT calculations * Water.dll - Water Properties *Steam.dll - Steam Properties * Gas.dll - Gas Properties *Furnace.dll - Furnace Calculations *BoilerBank.dll- Boiler Bank Calculations ..etc Each software contains about 40 - 50 such classes divided neatly to take care of different functions and calculations.

• Manual:
  
  We will also provide you with a detailed manual describing various classes and variables of the software. Detailed design procedures and explanation of various correlations and equations will be provided in the Manual. Manual also comes with good number of example design calculations. Each programmingh
  logic will be explained in detail. Procedure to compile the source code also will be given. In brief, by compiling the source code, you can make an actual replica of the FireCAD software.

• Why do you need source code?
  
  It gives an extra confidence in the user as they know what's happening behind. User can change the logics, add extra features, change the way the report is printed , test with alternative Heat Transfer correlations ..etc In all it's technology transfer in true terms both Boiler as well as Software technologies.

• What additional software is required along with source code?
  
  None! You don't need any additional software. A simple editor like Notepad is sufficient to edit the source code. They are many third party Freewares available on Net which comes with colored syntax features like EditPlus, Sharp Developer..etc. The Dotnet compiler is free and if you have run the FireCAD software on your machine means it is already available with you.
