I want to know the temperature profiles of gas and steam of differt parts of boilers lik the super heater, econmiser and evaporator.
producing a steam of 200,000 lb/hr at 750F and 600 psi. The BFW temperature is 259F. What will the optimal exhaust gas temperature that enters the super heater??

It all depends up on the boiler design and fuel. Usually it varies between 800 degC to 1000 degC.

There are different procedures to calculate boiler temperature profile for different types of boilers. But temperature for an industrial type boiler can be calculated at the following locations:
1. Furnace exit.
2. Downstream of screen tubes.
3. Downstream of superheater.
4. Downstream of boiler bank tubes.
5. Downsteam of economizer. Stack temperature.
