We have 60 t/h boiler , Sh steam pressure 15 kg/cm2 @280 C after desuperheater ... the superheater of this boiler is located at radiation area of the furnace directly , material is AS 209-Ti , we use fuel oil (no 6) as a fuel . The superheater of this boiler is subjected to damage (tube failuer and bulging)after 1 year operation and replaced with a new one (material A 213-T22 and A 213-T91 for the outermost raw facing flame) The problem still persist when the boiler load exceed more than 50% > i will be appericiated for any comment or idea to solve this problem .

| SH coil replacement is not uncommon once in 2/3 years. Mail me some sketch or drawing so that I'll be in a better position to comment or give solution. |

| Usually Carbon Steel tubes are used in boilers except in Superheater. Superheaters may require alloy steel tubes like SA213 T11 / T22 ..etc depending upon metal temperature. To know more about boiler operations and related topics, you may refer to STEAM by B&W co. |

| It is recommended to change the burners gun tips (nozzles) if necessary , adjust the burners & air registers & FDFAN damper , adjust fuel & atomizing steam pressure . |

hi im mahmoud from ibsf in cairo i need say that ur proplem coused by 1- the water carryover in from upper drum into superheater becouse u said 60 ton/h at 280 so i think that ur supper may be plugged due to water bubbles in steam from drum so, you have to check your 1- steam seperation and check its eff. 2- all upper drum internal 3- check ur water level in water drum 4- chech your water quality ( feed, boiler, steam)
2- the second reasone is your burner spec. at the startup and i think that your burner isnt high turn down ratio burner so try in startup using the small period in lighting the burner then trun it off and and till small steam quantitiy generate from drum to superheater
3- check your air/fuel ratio as u use oil fuel and may be some ash accumallted on tubes of superheater couse overheating.
3- you have to chech all thermal points for gas and steam and compare with the orginal values
finlly thank u and if u need any help just call me engineer/ mahmoud salama cairo +2-0121427400 |
